Your Trusted Practice
Jillian received her accreditation in Manual Osteopathy from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto, Ontario. Osteopathy is a hands-on manual therapy that works to improve the body’s overall function and decrease pain. Osteopathy treats the whole patient using a biopsychosocial model. It integrates the body's form and function using a variety of techniques including joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, craniosacral therapy, soft tissue and visceral release.
“Since graduating from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto in 2016, I have worked in multidisciplinary health clinics with a variety of healthcare practitioners. This experience has provided me with an in-depth understanding of the key elements that make up a comprehensive health care plan and the therapeutic modalities that complement them. Committed to a lifetime of learning, I enjoy continuing to develop both my manual osteopathy and nursing skills, at every available opportunity.”
Jillian also holds BSc in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University and a BSc in Nursing from the University of Prince Edward Island.
